I couldn't stop reading! This story was well written and covered the right amount of drama, action & romance to leave you satisfied. I loved that Yaz stuck to her guns & wasn't the typical obedient doormat Alek was probably used to. This allowed for an actual friendship to evolve and eventually a strong relationship. I'm glad I took a chance on this book & can't wait for Nikolai & Amanda's story. Excellent debut Ariel Arnold!!Product details

I really enjoyed this book I couldnt put it down. I love Alek even though he ran through some women I still liked he and I was happy Yazmeen was enough to soothe his soul. I knew that the customer from the strip club was up to no good when he saw Yaz in the restaurant. Yazmeen got on my nerves a little because she never paid attention to her surrounding like she didn't have a care in the world. But I'm glad that Alek and Nikolai was there to protect her and handle all threats.
I don't understand how this book got so many good reviews. It was weak all around to me. They tried to make the hero a sexy bad boy but in the end he was weak too weak for the heroine for my liking. Had no bad bone even when what he did was right. I don't like book where hero's take the blame for everything and the heroine is considered such a good girl she cane do not wrong to the point all blame is place on the man. The book was to long (even though I love a long bwwm novel) I felt as if this book just dragged and dragged and dragged and never go anywhere I can't even finish it.
This is the first book I have read by this author, and it will not be the last. Alek and Yaz have a rocky start, but the relationship is like a uphill battle. Alek has trust issues, and Yaz is afraid all Alek wants is a one night stand. This story has drama, action, romance, suspense and sizzling chemistry. Yaz is a little annoying, but she eventually get her act together. I would have liked a better ending, but its all good. Alek's cousin is an alpha male and I can't wait to read his story. I hope there's more on Alek and Yaz in Nikolai's story. Even though Alek is arrogant, he's a dream for any woman. Great story!
This was the first I've read from this author but not my last. Very sexy, mysterious and throw in some adventure and you have the perfect all night on a cold day read. She captures everything in this book from diverse cultures and ethnicity to a descriptive detail on the handsome Russian's . I loved the fact that even though Yaz worked as a stripper the rules didn't apply to her. She was young sexy and motivated. She was a boss and that's how she captured one. Alex changed the game when he encountered her and it was hot ever since.
This story started out really well, but in the middle, it began to drag, and the editing errors increased- trialed instead of trailed, threw instead of through, and dropped or missing words all together. Also, the timing in the story could have been handled better. For example, if weeks have passed by, it should not be presented in the very next paragraph, but separated by sub-chapters as this will allow a better flow in the story. Now, about the main characters, Yaz and Alek had great chemistry, and it was enjoyable reading about their relationship's growth. I gave this story 3 stars instead of 2 because the author made an effort to write a full length story, with an interesting plot. It just was not executed in the best way.
Before purchasing this book, I took time to read the reviews. I must have missed something, because this surely was not a five star. The premise of the story was good but the flow was very sporadic. As in, from someone writing without experience.
I’m sad to say that I could not finish this book.
The first story I read by Ms Ariel was A Little Immature and that story was amazing. It was funny, well written, and despite the bad grammar, it was an excellent read.
I expected this book to be the same. It wasn’t, however.
The characters lacked personality. They were boring and had no quirks nor were they relatable.
The story had no comedic aspects, which I know this author is fully capable of.
(Personal Preference) I like the story to remain on the main character’s relationship. This story included others.
The random POVs are a major turn off for me.
The editor’s notes included in the story was awful and very unprofessional but I know from experience that the editor isn’t exactly reliable.
The whole story feels like it was written by a high schooler.
Perhaps I’ll give it another read in the future, but for now, this was a no for me.
